Nova Iguaçu segue em estágio de observação em decorrência das chuvas da madrugada deste domingo (21)
Em decorrência das fortes chuvas que caíram em Nova Iguaçu na madrugada deste domingo (21), a cidade chegou a ficar em estágio de alerta durante o período, retornando para observação apenas no final desta manhã. Em seis horas, houve registro de 64,6 milímetros de chuva no bairro da Cobrex e cerca de 59 milímetros no Moquetá. Em Santa Eugênia, Caioaba, Cerâmica, Posse e Miguel Couto houve pontos de alagamentos. Ninguém ficou ferido.
O município permanece em situação de emergência desde as fortes chuvas do fim de semana passado.
Para a tarde deste domingo, ainda há previsão de pancadas de chuva moderada, reduzindo ao longo da noite quando há previsão de chuva fraca a moderada. Os ventos estarão moderados e fortes. A Defesa Civil de Nova Iguaçu disponibilizou alguns telefones em caso de emergência: 199 / 2667-5751 / 98160-9740.
A população também pode se cadastrar para receber alertas das condições do tempo pelo celular por mensagens de SMS. Essas informações servem de alerta para possíveis desastres, como inundações e deslizamentos causados pelas fortes chuvas, principalmente no período de verão.
Os moradores interessados em receber os alertas devem enviar pelo telefone celular uma mensagem contendo o CEP de interesse para o número 40199, podendo cadastrar mais de um CEP. Após feito o cadastramento, o celular estará apto a receber alertas e recomendações da Defesa Civil (é totalmente gratuito e não precisa ter crédito no celular).
